Winter Honeymoons & Destination Weddings

In a way winter is the real spring, the time when the inner things happen, the resurge of nature.

                                                                                     Edna O’Brien

Winter can be a wonderful time to celebrate a wedding and honeymoon. Celebrating in winter doesn’t have to imply cold weather, though snow birds will relish the opportunities of white landscapes and cuddling by a fire.

South of the equator, our winter is their summer, and destinations like Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and South America come to mind! In destinations closer to the equator, warm days can still be had.

While airfares may be lower during winter season except during holiday travel, depending on where you live or where your guests are coming from, winter can also present challenges to those living in areas affected by winter storms and poor weather.

Major holidays: Christmas, Hanukah, New Year’s, Valentine's Day

In Winter, you might imagine:
• Skiing or snowboarding in Aspen
• Diving or snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef
• Exploring Central America
• A safari in Africa
• Hiking in New Zealand
• The romance of Latin flavors: enjoying the tango in Argentina, and stunning Iguassu Falls.
