Be it a casual garden reception or sophisticated grand ball, we have a venue to suit the mood and style of your most special day. Our banqueting team is expert in the fine art of wedding co-ordination, allowing you to relax in the knowledge that everything has been taken care of – from on site pre-wedding pampering, to the flowers, the menu, the music, the photography, and the wedding cake.

For a minimum of 50 guests, we offer a special wedding package including the following:

• Complimentary wedding night accommodation is provided in a Suite and includes a full English breakfast with sparkling wine, in the hotel restaurant or served in the privacy of your suite

• If your wedding celebration is held at the Mount Nelson Hotel, your first anniversary can be as well. The Hotel will provide a candle-lit dinner for two in our signature restaurant, the Planet Restaurant – with our compliments

• A complimentary 30 minute head, neck and shoulder massage at our Librisa Spa. All other bookings will receive a 10% discount (valid for bridal party only)

• Special décor including white table cloths, white chair covers, and a red carpet is available for your ceremony

• A complimentary throwaway bouquet in the colour of your choice

• Our magnificent gardens are freely available for your wedding photographs

• Specialized requirements for a Kosher function can be catered for in our in-house Kosher kitchen, under the supervision of the Cape Town Beth Din

• A complimentary menu tasting will be offered to assist you in making your final menu selection (this only applies to set menus)

• Assistance with the printing of guest lists and place cards for the main table

• Ample secure, complimentary parking

Ceremony Costs

Ceremony Charge : R 3,500.00

White “Deli” Garden Chairs Hire : R 15.00 each

The Hotel provides the perfect location to hold wedding ceremonies set under tall shaded trees in our beautiful gardens.

In event of bad weather, a back-up venue is booked so as not to cause any unnecessary concerns. Back-up venues are also booked for photographs, which are normally taken in the gardens of the Hotel. We also provide you with a complimentary red carpet.

“Just the two of us” Wedding Package

• One night’s accommodation in a Mount Nelson Hotel Suite for the bride and groom, including a Full English breakfast served in the Oasis Restaurant.
• 60 minute Librisa Luxury Signature Massage for him and her in a double treatment room
• Wedding ceremony in the hotel gardens including back up venue in case of bad weather
• Preparation of legal documentation and minister to conduct the ceremony
• Harpist or String Duo to play during the ceremony
• Red carpet and white ceremony chairs
• Bridal bouquet, Grooms buttonhole and ceremony petals
• Bottle of sparkling wine after the ceremony
• Including wedding Hair Stylist for the bride on the day of the wedding
• Including Make up artist for the bride on the day of the wedding
• Lunch in the Oasis Restaurant or Dinner in the Planet Restaurant for two people to the value of R900 (Excluding gratuity and service charge)
