Polynesian Wedding Ceremony
On your arrival, one of our hostesses or our Polynesian Wedding Planner (recommended option) meets both of you to review all the details of the ceremony.
*The Polynesian wedding ceremony is held on the white sand beach of the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa with palm trees, tropical flowers, near the waters edge of turquoise colored lagoon.
The bride and groom are dressed in the traditional Tahitian wrapping cloth called “Pareo”.
Dancers and musicians with ukulele and guitars greet you with Tahitian traditional love songs. A Tahitian priest welcomes both of you, before performing the traditional and romantic ceremony. A Tahitian name will be given which will accompany you through your life.
The newly weds are then wrapped together in their “Tifaifai” (traditional Tahitian quilt) cover in symbol of their new union, before being carried away in grand procession by four Polynesian Warriors on top of a Royal Chair.

Upon your arrival, one of our hostesses meets with you to review all the details of the ceremony.
The bride and groom are dressed in the traditional Tahitian wear called “Pareo”.
Accompanied by local dancers, the bride awaits on the water’s edge as the groom arrives
by a flowered outrigger canoe paddled by Tahitian warriors.
Dancers and musicians with ukulele greet you with traditional Tahitian love songs.
A Tahitian high priest welcomes you both before performing the traditional and highly symbolic ceremony.
A Tahitian name will be given which will accompany you throughout your life.

Ipoipo Polynesian Wedding Ceremony
The couple is escorted from their bungalow to the place of ceremony where the Priest is waiting. The traditional ceremony lasts 15 minutes, after which the priest presents a special certificate inscribed on tapa. The newlyweds are adorned with fresh flower lei and flower crowns and enjoy a sunset cocktail following the ceremony. An ideal ceremony for those wishing a simple event with a touch of local color.

Manahune Polynesian Wedding Ceremony
The couple is escorted from their bungalow to the place of ceremony where the Priest is waiting. The traditional ceremony lasts 30 minutes, after which he presents a special certificate inscribed on tapa. The newlyweds are adorned with fresh flower lei and flower crowns to wear while enjoying their bottle of chilled French champagne following the ceremony.
A perfect way to say “I do” all over again… Tahitian style.

Ari’i ‘Oi Polynesian Wedding Ceremony
The couple is escorted from their bungalow to where the Priest performs the traditional ceremony (lasts 45 minutes) after which he presents them with a special tapa-inscribed certificate. The newlyweds are then taken on a procession in a Royal Chair and adorned with fresh flower lei and flower crowns to wear while enjoying their very own Polynesian show. Following the event, a special Champagne Sundowner with canapés is served for the couple to take pleasure in while watching the sunset. Included is a 30-minute couple’s massage to enjoy in the Spa, a bridal bouquet of tropical flowers, and temporary tattoos for the groom.

Included is a 60-minute couple’s massage to enjoy in the Spa, a bridal bouquet of tropical flowers, and temporary tattoos for the groom. A fantastic way to finish off the event, the couple savors fine French cuisine under the stars with a Romantic Dinner on the Beach.
