Mauna Kea Resort Wedding Requirements
The Bride and Groom are required to stay at the Mauna Kea Resort a minimum of three (3) nights and must book one of our Five (5) Wedding Packages
Space provided for the ceremony and/or dinner reception shall be confirmed nine (9) months prior to your wedding date
$1,500.00 non-refundable deposit required to hold space
Marriage License Requirements in the State of Hawaii
A marriage license must be obtained in the state of Hawaii prior to the wedding. You may obtain a marriage license application at the following website: www.hawaii.gov/health - select vital records (Only computer originals accepted – no faxed or photo copies)
An appointment should be arranged prior to your arrival. Arrangements can be made for you by your wedding coordinator or by calling the marriage license agent direct
Both parties to the marriage must appear personally before the marriage license agent with valid photo identification
If you are under eighteen (18) years of age, written consent from parents, a legal guardian, or a family court is required
If under 19 years of age, a certified copy of a birth certificate must be presented to the marriage license agent
If divorced less than thirty (30) days prior to your wedding date, you will be required to show documentation of your divorce
There are no medical requirements
The marriage license is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issuance
The fee for a license is $60.00, payable in cash to the licensing agent. This fee is subject to change
