Outdoor Function Space

PALM GROVE

Situated beneath towering palm trees your ceremony will have the Pacific Ocean as its backdrop. Our most popular ceremony venue, Palm Grove is a truly spectacular oceanfront location. Often guests will linger here after the ceremony has concluded for a light reception while the sun sinks below the horizon

Please consult with your catering manager when planning any elements that may require power, as there are limited electrical outlets.

Capacity: 200 for ceremony or reception.

WAIKAUHI BEACH

White sands against a backdrop of the blue Pacific Ocean make this a picturesque beach-ceremony location. You and your guests will linger after the ceremony to watch the sunset while enjoying the sounds of the waves. Waiakauhi is an ideal setting for a beach dinner.

The size of the beach does vary based on the time of year, please check with catering manager on the maximum capacity based on the date of your event.

For events greater than 25 guests the an additional charge of $100 may be assessed for a restroom attendant at the Resident’s Beach House.

Capacity: 60-100 for ceremony depending on the time of year, 30-60 for reception depending on the time of year.

WEDDING TREE

Atop an inky black lava bluff sits Wedding Tree. This dramatic location showcases the blue Pacific against white sands and black lava. The heliotrope trees on the bluff form a natural arch. The Wedding Tree sits in a small sandy area, slightly elevated from the shoreline.

GARDEN LAWN

Surrounded by Monkey Pod trees, Plumeria and Red Hibiscus the Garden Lawn is our outdoor living room. This versatile venue adjacent to the Hualalai Ballroom features a slate flagstone area perfect for the first dance and the last. Guests looking to continue festivities into the evening can transition inside to enjoy a creative dessert buffet with nightcaps.

HOKU AMPHITHEATER

A truly unique terraced amphitheatre, Hoku is carved from the historic Ka’upulehu lava flow. A dramatic lava rock wall is the backdrop to your entertainment and dancing while your guests dine underneath tropical skies. Illuminated by the evening stars (Hoku is Hawaiian for star) this versatile venue can host events ranging from ceremonies and elegant affairs to traditional luaus.

NORTH BEACH

A delicate white-sand beach near King’s Pond, this secluded location is a favorite stop for sea turtles. This location is ideal for rehearsal dinners, welcome receptions and family-style dinners.

Curfew: 9:00 p.m. 

BEACH TREE LAWN

A central lawn area with spectacular views of the Ocean and Beach Tree Pool, Beach Tree Lawn is ideal for a welcome reception, rehearsal dinner or post wedding brunch.

Capacity: 200 for reception.

Curfew: 10:00 p.m. 

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, the Client and Catering Manager will jointly decide (3) hours prior to an outdoor function if it is necessary to relocate the function. In the event the client cannot be contacted, the resort reserves the right to make a final decision to move any outdoor function to an indoor space. At the request of the client, banquets can double set for outdoor functions. A labor charge of $500 will be charged for double sets. A double set consists of tables, chairs, linens and staging only. All other equipment will be moved.
